HOW TO INTEGRATE MY WEBMAIL TO AN ANDROID DEVICE

This post is intended to be a guide to our clients on how to integrate webmail account into their android devices. Our aim is to ensure they have as much ease using their webmail as they do with their Gmail. As a matter of fact if these simple steps are followed dutifully you would be able to access and use your webmail account from the Gmail app in your android device.

Before we get started, you will need the following:

 

  1. An android phone/device.
  2. An active internet connection.
  3. A webmail account, it’s password & it’s server connection settings. ( At Kingstar WEBHOUSE these details must have been sent to you in the account setup email.)

The steps are as follows:

  1. Access the phone settings
  2. Input the right information in the right places
  3. That’s all! No number 3.

 

1. Access Your Android Phone/Device Settings

 

a. Locate your android settings. You can do that by selecting it from the list of apps or by swiping downward from the top of the screen, and then selecting it.

b. Scroll down and select Accounts

c. tap on “Add account”

d. and tap on “Personal (IMAP)”

2. Input the right information in the right places

a. The next screen that will be displayed will request for your email address. Enter your webmail address fully (eg: mail@mysite.com)

b. Tap on “Next” and then another page will be displayed, asking for the password of your email address. This is the password associated with your webmail address. Once you enter the password, tap on “Next”. It would be helpful and easier if you check the “Show password” option which will allow you see the password you are typing.

c. For the next step, you will replace the incoming server field with the one provided you in the email account setup. Make sure the values you enter is correct. Then tap ‘Next’

d. Repeat the previous step by entering the outgoing server value. Click Next.

If done correctly you will have a screen like this one:

From here you click next then you have

Then click on Next for the last time. And that is all.

To check if it is working as expected open the Gmail app in your device. Tap on the icon at the top right corner to reveal all the email account on the app. From the list you will find your webmail account there. Tap it and enjoy your webmail in android.

Hallelujah! You can now receive and send emails from your Android device.
